Our teachers

The teacher matters more than the platform. Here is exactly how we choose them and how we match one to your family.

Who teaches at Barakka

Our teachers are qualified male and female graduates in Quranic and Islamic studies, based in Egypt and other Arabic-speaking countries. Several teach in a European language alongside Arabic, which is what makes a genuine beginner able to follow a lesson from day one.

We publish how we select teachers rather than a gallery of profile photographs. Names and photographs of teachers are shared privately with the family before the trial lesson, not put on a public page — most of our teachers prefer this, and it protects them as well as your family.

How a teacher joins us

1

Qualifications checked

We look at what they studied, where, and how long they have taught — particularly with children and with non-Arabic speakers.

2

Recitation assessed

Every candidate recites for us. Tajweed, accuracy and clarity are judged directly, not taken on trust from a certificate.

3

Teaching assessed

A trial lesson shows whether they can explain patiently to a beginner, hold a young child’s attention, and correct without discouraging.

4

Confidentiality agreed

Every teacher accepts a written obligation covering student information, which may not be used for anything other than teaching.

How your teacher is matched

If the match is wrong, say so. Changing teacher costs nothing and does not need a reason. A student who is not comfortable will not learn, and we would rather move them than lose them.
