1. Who we are

This policy explains how BARAKKA LLC (“Barakka Academy”, “we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, stores, shares and protects personal information when you visit albarakka.online, request a trial lesson, enrol a student, or contact us.

BARAKKA LLC is a Limited Liability Company registered in the State of Wyoming, United States, with its registered office at 30 N Gould St, Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801. We are the data controller for the information described here. For any question about this policy, write to info@albarakka.online with Privacy in the subject line.

Many of our students are children, and we treat their information with corresponding care.

2. Information we collect

2.1 Information you give us

• Identity and contact — the name of the parent or adult student, email address, WhatsApp or phone number, country and time zone.
• Student details — the student’s first name, age or age band, current level, and the programme requested.
• Preferences — preferred teacher gender, preferred language of explanation, and available lesson times.
• Lesson records — attendance, what was covered, and the teacher’s notes on progress.
• Billing information — the invoices we issue and the payment references our bank or payment provider reports back to us.
• Correspondence — messages you send us by email or WhatsApp and our replies.

2.2 Information we collect automatically

Our web host records standard server logs for security and reliability — IP address, date and time of the request, the page requested, and browser type. These logs are not used to profile visitors.

2.3 Information we deliberately do not collect

• We do not collect or store full card numbers, CVV codes or bank login credentials. Payments are handled by regulated banks and payment providers.
• We do not ask children for an address, a telephone number, a photograph or any financial information.
• We do not run advertising or retargeting pixels on this website, and we do not build advertising profiles. See our Cookie Policy.
• We do not buy personal data from third parties or data brokers.

3. Children’s information

• A child is enrolled by a parent or legal guardian, who is our contracting party and our point of contact for scheduling, progress and billing.
• We collect the minimum needed to teach: a first name, an age or age band, and the study level.
• Lessons are not recorded unless a parent asks for it in writing, and any recording made at a parent’s request is deleted when they ask.
• A parent or guardian may review, correct or request deletion of their child’s information at any time by emailing info@albarakka.online.
• We handle children’s data consistently with the principles of the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and, for children in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, with Article 8 of the GDPR. If we learn we have collected personal information directly from a child without parental consent, we delete it promptly.
• We publish a student’s name, work or photograph — for example a certificate on social media — only with the explicit prior consent of the parent or guardian, and we remove it on request without asking why.

We do not sell personal information, and we have never done so. We do not rent or trade student data, and we do not share it with advertising networks or data brokers.

• The assigned teacher — receives the student’s first name, age band, level, time zone and schedule. Every teacher accepts a written confidentiality obligation and may not use student information for any purpose other than teaching.
• Our administrative team — supervisors who arrange schedules, monitor attendance and prepare invoices.
• Banks and payment providers — who act as independent controllers of the payment data they process, under their own privacy policies.
• Service providers — our web host, email provider and the video platform used for lessons.
• Authorities — where we are legally required to disclose information, for example in response to a valid legal order, or to establish or defend legal claims. We will notify you of such a request unless legally prohibited from doing so.

BARAKKA LLC is established in the United States, and our teachers and administrative staff are located in a number of countries, including Egypt. Your personal information may therefore be transferred to and processed in countries outside your own, which may not provide the same level of data protection as your home jurisdiction.

Where we transfer personal data of individuals in the EEA or the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards, including the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and equivalent UK provisions, together with the confidentiality obligations imposed on our teachers and staff.

• Access to student records is limited to the assigned teacher and the administrative staff who need it, through individual accounts.
• Every teacher and staff member accepts a written confidentiality obligation.
• Payment data is handled by regulated banks and payment providers; we never hold full card numbers.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach occurs that is likely to result in a risk to your rights, we will notify the competent supervisory authority within 72 hours where required, and notify you without undue delay where the risk is high.

• Access the personal information we hold about you or your child;
• Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
• Delete information where we no longer have grounds to keep it;
• Restrict or object to processing based on our legitimate interests;
• Withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent;
• Port the information you gave us to another provider;
• Complain to your local data protection authority — in the EEA, your national supervisory authority; in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).

To exercise any of these, email info@albarakka.online. We respond within 30 days, and we do not charge for a reasonable request.

Residents of California additionally have the right under the CCPA/CPRA to know what personal information we collect and why, to request deletion or correction, to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information (we do neither), and not to be treated differently for exercising these rights.

10. Third-party links

Our website and social media pages link to third-party sites, including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, WhatsApp and the video platforms used for lessons. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, and we encourage you to read their policies before giving them personal information.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of the page. Where a change is significant and affects enrolled students, we will tell the parent or adult student by email.
